Koi Miniature
Drawn from life, originally straight onto the copper plate, this piece depicts the movement and every detail of the koi carp swimming. Japanese myth is that if a koi succeeds in swimming to the top of the waterfall, he’ll become a dragon, so is often looked at as a symbol of luck, perseverance and strength.
